Situated in the lively Abu Hail area near Hor Al Anz, this restaurant offers a taste of Kerala’s diverse and authentic flavors. It’s a spot where locals and visitors alike come for dishes that range from comforting rice specials like ghee rice to a variety of traditional breads such as Kerala porata and pathiri. The menu also features refreshing summer choices like fruit salad with ice cream and avacado shake, alongside flavorful biryanis and rich curries.
The space has a casual, straightforward atmosphere — clean and comfortable without any fuss, making it suitable for solo diners, groups, and families. Outdoor seating is available, enhancing the relaxed vibe, and the ample parking options nearby make it convenient for those driving in. The restaurant is known for accommodating a broad spectrum of dining needs, from breakfast and brunch to late-night meals, all served with easy onsite or takeaway options.
People who appreciate authentic Kerala-style meals tend to enjoy this place, especially if they’re looking for reasonable prices and a no-frills setting. It’s also welcoming to families, with facilities like high chairs and kid-friendly options, though some have noted that it sometimes feels like a quick service environment rather than a leisurely dining experience. While the food quality is generally good and freshly prepared, there can be occasional inconsistencies, which might appeal more to those open to a casual local dining adventure rather than a refined evening out.

5 During my recent trip to Dubai, we stumbled upon Food Angadi Restaurant, drawn in by the ample parking space available right in front of the establishment. This unexpected find turned out to be a delightful experience, offering a taste of authentic Kerala cuisine. We sampled a variety of dishes, including their iconic Pal Kappa, Beef Ribs, Pal Pathiri, Beef Roast, and a selection of chicken curries. The highlight was undoubtedly the Pal Kappa and Beef Ribs combination. The slow-cooked beef was exceptionally tender, carrying a mild spice that enhanced its rich flavor a perfect match with the Pal Kappa. The Pal Pathiri was soft and well-prepared, while the Beef Roast, though decent, didn't quite stand out in comparison to the other dishes. The restaurant's ambiance is serene and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends and family. If you're in Dubai and craving authentic Kerala flavors, Food Angadi is certainly worth a visit.
4 All average...food is good but sometimes not consistent taste. Most of the time, they serve yesterday's leftovers. If you're lucky enough, you'll get fresh food. I stopped going to this restaurant.
5 Food Angadi in Abu Hail is a hidden gem for food lovers! The menu is diverse, flavorful, and reasonably priced. Every dish is freshly prepared, especially their Kerala-style meals which are authentic and delicious. The staff is courteous and quick, and the service is consistently good. The ambiance is simple but clean and comfortable, perfect for a casual dining experience. A great spot for those craving homemade-style South Indian food. Highly recommended for regular visits!
5 Our second time here for onam celebration. Really good space for a getto. Sadya was really good. Loved it.
4 Nice location to taste lot of Kerala variety dishes. Me and family went for the lunch buffet, that was really good. Paalkappa, beef curry and Mulakitta fish curry is mouthwatering. A good restaurant to visit and it’s pocket friendly option also. Few points that could be considered by restaurant management - for small kid it’s charged in full, but normally that’s not the case with any similar restaurants and buffets. Note: I just paid as it’s asked without any comments as the food anyway was really tasty and we enjoyed. For taking the food it’s given in disposable ones which is not so impressive considering the overall standard and ambience of the restaurant.
4 I recently visited Food Angadi and tried their biriyani. The taste was good — flavorful, well-spiced, and cooked perfectly. The portion size was satisfying, and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience,
5 Neat and clean resturent. Nice snd respectful staff. Good food and beautiful environment. Full of old days memories. Just try !!! Affordable prices Good quality food Fast service
4 We had a birthday party yesterday and was a good experience. The food was good and delicious. Liked it completely. The hospitality was perfect. The atmosphere and interior setup was beautiful. The antique old setup gave a good feeling inside. The only bad thing I felt was the toilet. Could have been better. RTA parking was available and was free mostly in the evenings.
